Please feel to reach out to me so I may help your child in any way needed. I create K-12 classes and tutor (HS only English and History) to facilitate growth and learning. I also coach teens and help them navigate their academics, their responsibilities and their future. I teach in person or on Zoom.
I can follow state standards for every subject, or go in the direction best suited for the student and family. I listen to what you need, and create what can work best for your student.

Certification
I was born in Upstate NY and hold permanent teaching degrees in N-6, Reading and 7-12 English. I also hold credentialing in California for both single and multiple subject teaching.
I receieved Bachelor Degrees from the State University College at Oneonta in 1988 in English Education and Elementary Education. (I took extra courses for more certifications.) I received a Master's Degree from SUNY Plattsburg in 1993 in Administration and Supervision.
My greatest accomplishment as a teacher has been helping my own and other children follow passions in learning and in the lives they have created for themselves. My oldest son graduated from UCSD last year, I have two other children in community college and my youngest will be homeschooled for 10th grade next year. I was a public school teacher for ten years before my oldest was born and have taught homeschooling classes(with my own children) for over 20 years. I have had the honor of teaching thousands of children in my 33 years as a mentor and guide.
